Hello Fabio, I love your paintings , it's incredible, what talent and hard work! The rich color, luminosity and depth of shadows create a wonderful emotional content.

The first one is one of those calligraphic paintings of yours that fascinates me. Now I know I should practice wet on wet, and not be afraid to get something that lacks strengh and energy, as I can clearly see that calligraphic marks give a real "contrepoint" to the dissolution 7 softness of the forms.

Your paintings are so beautiful and sensitive...!I love stopping by your blog, a delightful time. How long did it take to paint each watercolor? Thanks for sharing!

Hi Deborah, thanks. Emotional brush work, that's What I'm always looking for.

Hi Encre, the first one is the vertical ? I think yes....ok, there's a calligraphic movement when I add final details, etc. You noted it, it's nice..yes..calligraphic details are "contrepoint" to my wet-on-wet effects. The finished painting result depends on the wet, loose effects + tiny calligraphic details..They must live togheter in my paintings.

Encre, by the way..thanks for your post. Let me tell you one more thing..: the calligraphic details correct, organise, change, etc everything in my paintings.

Hi Fabio, good job. Would you please help me? How can I avoid water marks and other bad stuff during my wet on wet paintings?

Hi Fabio, absolutely wonderful work, superb in every way.

Hi Marco, you may check the amount of water in your paper and your brush. Too much water...means that you need to be faster and remove the water marks with a flat brush , a synthetic flat brush. Try to e-mail me with a few photos of your work..so I'll be able to help you, ok? Thanks for your visit !

Fabio, I was more thinking about the first one, but they both have calligraphic brushstrokes.
I am about to work more the working/studing the watercolor aspect of my portraits (as I have mostly worked the drawing aspect so far), discover more the medium (concentrate on watercolor even if the gallery asks me for acrylics) and think about how to incorporate such a duality (more wet on wet and more calligraphic brushstrokes) in my portraits. I learn a lot on your blog - thanks to you!!! ;-)

Fabio, muy buenas ambas, la segunda una maravilla. Me gusta mucho como logras con suavidad la fusión entre la pintura en húmedo (wet on wet) y esos toques en seco
