I really like the faint trees in the left hand side of the background and the purples in the immediate right.

Ok, they're similar. The first one is a brief study. I 've just added more details to number 2.
Humm..no, it's not a typical Brazilian tree...we don't have leafless trees,I have a couple of reference photos..it's just a study.
